George Krupa, age 81, formerly of Richmond, Indiana died on Sunday (November 22, 2009) in Los Angeles, California. He was born in Richmond on April 24, 1928 to John and Vilma Gyucz Krupa and lived here until moving to Bonham, Texas in 1981. He lived in Bonham until 2009 when he moved to Los Angeles to be near his daughter, Jana. He was an auto mechanic for many years and worked as a Study Buddy for elementary school students in Bonham during his retirement. George was also an active participant in Senior Games where he was the recipient of numerous gold medals. He was a veteran of the US Army. Survivors include his children - Jerry Krupa of Richmond, Joseph Krupa of Singapore, Jana Miller of Torrance, California; granddaughters - Desirae Miller, Lindsi Miller, Lorin Miller, Jerrica Krupa; sisters - Ella (Bob - deceased) Steed of Montgomery, Texas, Rose (Steve) Czerlau of Port Colbourne, Ontario, Canada; 2 step-grandsons, 1 step-granddaughter, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by sisters-in law - Norma Krupa of Florida, Ruth Krupa of Dayton, Ohio, Janet Krupa of Texas. In addition to his parents, a son - Richard A. Krupa, 5 brothers - John Krupa, Frank Krupa, Steve Krupa, Bobby Krupa and Mike (Jeanne) Krupa and a sister, Mary (Jim) Wiley are also deceased. Services will be held at the convenience of the family in California
