Gerald A. Collins, age 75, of Richmond, died Wednesday evening (February 1, 2012) at Arbor Trace. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on August 2, 1936 to Robert and Laura Patterson Collins and had moved back to this area from Columbus, Ohio in 2007. He was a 1959 graduate of the University of Dayton with degrees in both economics and business. He had worked in insurance and investment sales. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Survivors include his wife of eleven and one-half years - Karen Collins; children - Kathryn (Walt) Schnabel of Greensboro, NC, Jennifer (Rick) Westrick of La Grange Park, IL, Becky Collins of Sherman Oaks, CA, Dan Collins of Cincinnati, OH; brother - Robert (Pat) Collins of Prescott, AZ; grandchildren - Calvin Westrick and Caroline Westrick; step-children - Kevin (Kay Adams) Wisecup of Centerville, David (Julie) Wisecup of Fountain City; step-grandchildren - Kylee Wisecup, Erin Ullery, Hunter Wisecup, Cole Jaxon Wisecup. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Loraine Collins. Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday (February 6, 2012) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Dr. William Parrish will officiate. Friends may call on Monday (February 6, 2012) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Saint Michaels Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana.
