Gerald L. Thomas, age 84, of Richmond, died Wednesday evening (July 23, 2008) at his residence.� He was born in Gratis, Ohio on February 29, 1924 to Pearl and Annie Gilbert Thomas and had lived in this area for the past 44 years.� He was a US Army veteran of World War II and had worked as a truck driver and for the Recycling Center.�He is survived by his wife of 48 years - Yvonne Thomas; sons - Anthony Thomas of Burns Harbor, Indiana. Gerald Thomas of Tucson, Arizona, Roger Thomas of Fountain City; daughters - Geraldine Coffey of Rushville, Tonya Vanover of Anderson, twins Carolyn S. Howard of Tennessee and Marilyn Juhasz of Richmond; step-children - Michael Asher of Richmond, Sandra Hampton of Pikesville, Kentucky; sister - Doris Howell of West Manchester, Ohio; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.�A daughter, Rebecca Thomas, is also deceased.�
Services will be held at 6:00 pm on Saturday (July 26, 2008) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.� Rev. Kevin Shindoll will officiate.� Friends may call on Saturday (July 26, 2008) from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.� www.riggle-waltermann.com
