Gladys Norris Legg, of Richmond, age 87 passed away on Thursday (December 13, 2018) at Forest Park Health Campus in Richmond, Indiana. She was born to Charles and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Breeden Norris in Lenoir City, Tennessee on July 18, 1931. Gladys married the love of her life Charles Legg on September 24, 1954. She worked at Loves Bakery in Richmond for over 15 years. Gladys loved her family and serving others. She enjoyed being outdoors, working in her yard and was known for being a hard worker and homemaker. She was a member of Oak Park Church.
Survivors include children John (Sharon) Legg, Mary Beth (Jim) Stigleman and Debbie (Dan) Barkley; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husband Charles Legg; brother Grady Norris and son David Legg.
Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday (December 19, 2018) at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Irvin Baxter, Rev. Robert Arthur and Rev. Kevin Arthur will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Goshen Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday (December 19, 2018) at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Gladys' name to Oak Park Church (1920 Chester Blvd. Richmond, Indiana 47374).
