Gladys Stemple, age 95, died on Thursday (January 11, 2018) in Richmond, Indiana at Forest Park Health Campus. Gladys was born on April 11, 1922 in Centerville, Indiana to Ernest and Otis Chamberlin Blackwell. She graduated from Whitewater High School in 1940. Gladys was a long-time member of The Whitewater United Methodist Church and was also a former employee of Belden. She was a seamstress and a 4-H leader for the Franklin Flyers.

She is survived by her son Ron Stemple; grandchildren Scott Stemple and Shari (Randy) King; great grandchildren Nathan Lewan, Benjamin Lewan, Devon King, and Mamie King; sister Rebecca Turner. She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Otis Blackwell; husband Gaar Stemple; daughter-in-law Jean Stemple; brothers Gwin and Doyle.
Service for Gladys will be held 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday (January 16, 2018) at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Burial in Goshen Cemetery will immediately follow the service. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday (January 16, 2018) at the funeral home.
