Gregory Dale Hornsby, age 66, of Richmond, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026. Born on September 27, 1959, in Norfolk County, Virginia,

As the proud owner and operator of his own landscaping business, Gregory enjoyed transforming outdoor spaces. His passion for his craft was only surpassed by his love for his family. A devoted husband to Rhonda (Russell) Hornsby, Gregory cherished every moment spent with his children—Greg (Brittney) Hornsby, Tiffany Hornsby, and Travis Hornsby (Ashlyn Pritchett)—and took great joy in the company of his grandchildren: Colten Ervin, Gavin Blue, Landyn Hornsby, Aubrey Hornsby, and Kya Grubbs.

Gregory was a family man at heart, known for his warm smile and nurturing spirit. He took pride in his Dodge Ram pickup truck, often found driving it to family gatherings and celebrations. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, support, and unwavering love for those fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda, his children, grandchildren, brother Ben (Allison) Hornsby, brother-in-law Mendel Russell Jr., and cherished cousins Gail Rogers Hemby and Valerie Rogers. Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Franklin Hornsby and Kathryn Juanita (Rogers) Hornsby; his brothers, Richard Hornsby and Michael Hornsby; and sister-in-law, Virginia Hornsby.

The funeral service for Gregory Dale Hornsby will be held on March 16, 2026, at 5:30 PM at Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary in Richmond, Indiana. Prior to the service, a public viewing will take place at the same location from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
