Harold L. "JR" Ward, Jr., age 60, of Boston, Indiana, died Sunday (September 9, 2012) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Henry County, Indiana on September 22, 1951 to Harold L. Sr. and O. Kathryn Donica Ward and had lived in this area all of his life. He was a 1969 graduate of Richmond High School and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He had worked in the trucking industry all of his life and had worked for the former I R C & D Motor Freight and for Con-Way Freight. JR enjoyed motorcycle riding and target shooting and was a member of the NRA He was an avid NASCAR and classic car fan. He loved animals of all types. His wife, Donna Jo Ward, died April 22, 2008. Survivors include his sister - Linda (Larry) Larsh of Richmond; nephews - Brian (Michelle) Larsh of Williamsburg and Kevin (Brenda Carson) Larsh of Richmond; great nieces and nephews - Kayla Smith, Angel Larsh, Braylin Larsh, Caleb Larsh, Claire Larsh, Chandler Larsh. Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday (September 13, 2012) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Pam Wooden will officiate. Burial will be in Boston (Indiana) Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Honor Guard.
