It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harold V. "Sonny" Borden Jr., who left us on May 8, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on February 5, 1938, in Long Branch, New Jersey, Harold lived a life full of hard work, laughter, and a love for the simple things.
Harold served in the National Guard while stationed in Louisville, Kentucky, and went on to carve out a successful career as a mason. After retirement, he enjoyed spending his days fishing, cheering for his favorite NASCAR drivers, and catching up on basketball games. Harold will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his sons Glen (Ellen) Borden, Robert (Jane) Borden, Kevin (Michelle) Borden and Johnny (Valerie) Wright; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins including the Miller and Pattons families.
