Harriett Newell Reed Gray, age 89, of Richmond, died Sunday (October 28, 2012) at Ambassador Healthcare. She was born in Muncie, Indiana on May 9, 1923 to Adam and Opal Brock Newell and had lived in Richmond since 1933. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her children - Robert "Joe" (Patsy) Todd of Muncie, Nelson Reed of Richmond, Sally Goodwin of Richmond, Larry (Debbie) Reed of Richmond, Glenn Gray of Richmond; sisters - Marlene Anderson of Richmond, Betty (Ron) Henson of Centerville, Janice Hebenstriet of Winter Haven, Florida; 21 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 34 great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Todd, Nelson Reed, Sr., Ray Gray; a sister - Delores Campbell; five brothers - Thomas, Bob, Gene and Adam Newell and her twin - Fred Newell; 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild. Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday (November 2, 2012) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Russell Powell will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
