Hazel E. Durham, age 91, of Richmond, passed away Monday (April 21, 2014) at Reid Hospital. She was born on October 10, 1922 to John C. and Sallie Cole Bush in Breathitt County, Kentucky. She moved to Rushville, Indiana when she was 12 years old and she moved to Richmond, Indiana in 1950. She worked at Jennings Restaurant for 20 years where she made many friends. She then moved on to American towel and linen with Mark Issen for several years and then retired to help care for others and stopped working at the age of 85. Hazel is survived by daughters, Tamara (Bill Hollingsworth) Burgess and Diane Lakes; son Jeff J.D. (Sue) Durham; 13 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank G. Durham; first husband Wilbur H. Brown; sons Tom, Don and Robert Brown; step-father Carl Wiggins; 1 brother and 3 sisters; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Service for Hazel will be on Friday (April 25, 2014) at 1:00 P.M. in Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will be in Goshen cemetery. Pastor Paul Mingus will officiate. Friends may call on Friday (April 25, 2014) from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
