Hazel Marie Fortner, 78, of Richmond, IN, passed on Sunday, September 17, 2023. She was born on November 16, 1944, in Richmond, IN and was a daughter of the late Claude and Pearl Lewis. She retired from Frontier as a dispatcher. She loved reading, volunteering, helping others and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her brothers Larry and Jerry Lewis; sister Donna Wyatt; children Douglas (Jennifer) Clarke and Kimberly (Robert Smith) Clarke; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, nine siblings and her son, Kenneth Clarke.
Pastor Gary Reynolds will officiate services at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday September 20, 2023, at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary, 32 S 11th St Richmond, IN 47374. A visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the start of the service at 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the family or sent to Wayne County Veterans Memorial Park, P.O.
