Helen M. Allshouse, age 87, of Richmond, died Sunday (July 25, 2004) in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was born on May 16, 1917 in Boston, Indiana to Daniel and Elizabeth Osborn Lashley and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a graduate of Ball State University and retired from teaching after 29 years. She had taught school at Lewisburg, Riley, Highland, Boston, Fountain City and Whitewater. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and of the DAV Auxillary. Her husband, Robert E. Allshouse, died on June 21, 1996.

Daughter - Susan Kay Coplen of Raleigh, North Carolina

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday (July 29, 2004) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will be in Elkhorn Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday (July 28, 2004) from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home. www.riggle-waltermann.com
