Helen Byrd, age 81, of Richmond died Sunday (March 2, 2014) at Reid Hospital. She was born February 16, 1933 to Roland and Agnes Kenworthy Poppaw. Survivors include her Daughters, Melinda (Frank) Duff and Sherry (Randy) Rodgers; 7 grandchildren, Ty Rodgers, Matt Andacover, Michael Byrd, John Byrd, Jeremiah Byrd, Kristina Kier and Brian Duff; sister Evelyn Uphaus; 7 Great Grandchildren and Several Nieces and Nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Hubert Byrd; daughter Pamela Byrd; son Hubert Byrd Jr. and sisters Mary Bower and Phyllis Hedrick. Services will be conducted Thursday (March 6, 2014) at 3:00 P.M. In Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor John Maples will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday (March 6, 2014) from 2:00 P.M. To 3:00 P.M.
