Helen George, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, August 24th at Reid Hospital. Born January 13, 1934 in Mesick, Michigan to Clarence and Nellie Myers. She lived most of her life in Richmond. Helen was a 1952 graduate of Richmond High School and a long-time member of Central United Methodist Church. After high school, she trained in Philadelphia for the Insurance of North America (INA) office in Richmond. She worked several years in the Business Office at Knollenberg's Department Store and Midtown Pharmacy. Helen loved antique shopping and playing cards with her monthly Canasta and Euchre Clubs. She was a 60 year member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the RHS Class of '52 Alumni Committee.

Survivors include her son Scott George (Denise) of Richmond, daughter Lisa Mims of The Colony, TX; grandchildren Ryan George (Kathy) of Centerville, Caitlin George of Centerville, Andrea Manton (John) of McKinney, TX, Matthew Orsborn of Heartland, TX, Patrick Orsborn (Lauren) of Little Elm, TX and Erin Mims of The Colony, TX. She has 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Joyce Myers of Fort Walton Beach, FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Nellie Myers, brothers Timothy Myers, Billie Myers and granddaughter, Jennifer George.

Visitation for Helen will be on Monday, August 29th from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Funeral service to follow at 1:00pm, Pastor Joseph Seger officiating.
