Henry R. Doherty, age 87, died April 16, 2004 at Reid Hospital. He was a life long resident of Wayne County, a life long member of Saint Mary Church, a highly decorated WW II veteran having received the Silver Star and Purple Heart. He was an American Legion member for 59 years, a 20th Combat Engineers association member, Knights of Columbus member, business owner and devoted family man.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years - Elizabeth
Five children - Michael, Patricia, Mary Ellen Doherty Perez, Henry T. and Therese Ann Doherty Miller

A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Tuesday (April 20, 2004) in Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Mary Church. Burial will be in Saint Mary Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday (April 19, 2004) from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
