Henry S. Liberti, age 86, formerly of Richmond, passed from this world to eternal life on March 5, 2008 in South Bend, Indiana.� The eighth of eleven children, he was born Enrico Salvatore Liberti in Rochester, New York on November 3, 1921 to Italian immigrants Anthony and Pasqualina� Liberti.� He met and married Sarah Jeanette Dowell in 1943 while serving his country at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.� Upon completion of his service, they settled in Richmond.� Henry retired form Belden Wire and Cable in 1978 after 30 years of service.� During those years, he also owned and operated Richmond Shoe Hospital in downtown Richmond near South 5th and Main Streets.� Family was everything to him.� All who knew him will forever remember the smile and compassionate sweet spirit that remained with him throughout his life.�Six children are left to cherish his memory - John (Phyllis) Liberti, Marie (Steve) Brown, Mike Liberti, Rose Liberti, Tim Liberti and Cindi (Keith) Petty.� He is also survived by his brother Anthony;� sisters - Rose and Gloria; 14 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.�His wife Sarah Jeanette Liberti died on September 8, 2002.� In addition to his parents, his siblings, Frank, Russell, Joe, Nelson, �Sarah, Grace and Richard are also deceased.�He was a gentle giant with a heart of gold.� Thank you Dad for blessing our lives.�Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday (March 10, 2008) in Earlham Mausoleum.In honor of his great love for children, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN� 38105.� Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.�
