Herbert E. McAdams, age 79, of Richmond, died Wednesday morning (April 3, 2013) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Rushsylvania, Ohio on October 25, 1933 to Earl R. and Lena May Schroyer McAdams and had lived in this area since 1963. Herb had worked in sales in the dry goods industry and had worked for Adam H. Bartel Company and for Blue Bell Corporation of North Carolina. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and of the Whitewater Valley Ham Radio Club. Survivors include his son, James H. McAdams of Syracuse, Indiana, David L. McAdams of Richmond; daughter, Bonnie McCurdy of Bluffton, Indiana, sister, Janice Grigalunas of Kenton, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His wife, Patty McAdams, died December 12, 2009. His son, Steven McAdams died October 13, 2005 and son, Jeffrey McAdams, died March 11, 2010. Three sisters are also deceased.
