Herman F. Kutter, age 98, of Richmond, died Saturday evening (May 5, 2007) at his residence.� He was born in Richmond on August 9, 1908 to Joseph A. and Anna Kahle Kutter and had lived here all of his life.� He was a 1925 graduate of Saint Andrew High School and on January 27, 2007 was honored by the National Catholic Education Association for exemplifying the highest qualities of Catholic Education and for rendering distinguished service to the Catholic Church and the United States of America. He was the retired president of Kutter Grocery and was a member of Saint Andrew Church.� He was also a member of the Knights of St. John,� the YMI and was an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels.� His first wife, Idris Faye Moody Kutter, died on January 1, 1992.

Survivors include his wife - Edna Boyer Kutter;� sons - Joseph M. Kutter of New Paris and John Kutter of Richmond;� daughter - Mary Jane Bush of Fort Wayne;� 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, nieces and nephews.�

Six sisters and four brothers are also deceased.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday (May 12, 2007) in Saint Andrew Church.� Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery.� Friends may call on Friday (May 11, 2007) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary and prior to the Mass on Saturday (May 12, 2007) at the church.�� Memorial contributions may be made to Seton Schools, 240 South 6th St. Richmond, IN 47374 or to Meals on Wheels, 1401 Chester Blvd., Richmond, IN 47374.�� www.riggle-waltermann.com .
