July 18, 2010 Herman Townsend, age 89, of Richmond, died Saturday evening (July 17, 2010) at Golden Living Center - Oak Ridge. He was born in Manchester, Kentucky on April 19, 1921 to Brownlow and Johanna Sanner Townsend and had lived here since 1941. He was a retired 42 year employee of Eaton Gear and had worked for Fowler Wholesale. He had been an active member at the Richmond Senior Center. Survivors include his wife - Mildred Townsend; daughter - Wanda Dishman of South Bend, Indiana; 6 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, a son, H. David Townsend, 3 brothers and 2 sisters are also deceased. Services will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday (July 21, 2010) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.
