Ida Mae Jones, age 82, of Richmond, died Monday evening (February 16. 2004) at her residence. She was born on January 23, 1922 in Jellico, Tennessee to Quincy and Florence Long and had lived in this area since 1955. She was a homemaker and a 50 year member of Fairview Baptist Church and was a great witness for Jesus Christ. She enjoyed gardening, reading and sewing and her greatest joy was in time spent with her family. Her husband, George F. Jones, died May 9, 1997.

A son, John Jones, died in 1999 and a Granddaughter, Angela Abney, died in 1982.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday (February 20, 2004) in Fairview Baptist Church, {1314 Hunt Street.} Rev. John Jones, Rev. Gary Click and Rev. Richard Abney will officiate. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday (February 19, 2004) from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. www.riggle-waltermann.com
