Iona "Toni" Chaney, age 86, passed away on Friday (September 30th 2016) at Reid Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Estel County, Kentucky on January 6th 1930 to Harvey & Emeline Coffey and had lived in this area since her teenage years. Toni had retired from Alcoa, and was a member of their 25 year club. She also enjoyed yardwork and homekeeping.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years Ardin Chaney; her walking partner Freda Baker; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Raymond Coffey, Huey Coffey, Mendel Coffey, Everett Coffey, and Dennis Coffey. Her sisters Lillian Burke and Nona Isaacs are also deceased.
Graveside services for Toni will be held on Monday (October 3rd 2016) at 11 a.m. in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made in Toni's name to Help the Animals (2101 West Main St., Richmond, IN 47374)
