Iona Monzelle Fisher, age 83, formerly of Richmond, died Tuesday (June 15, 2010) at The Waters in New Castle. She was born in Dunlapsville, Indiana on July 11, 1926 to Merle and Ruby Davis Shepler and had lived in Richmond most of her life before moving to New Castle in 1997. She was a retired 30 year employee of Kroger. Christmas was a very special time for her and she was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She also enjoyed being with her sisters and family. Monzelle was very fond of spending time with the loves of her life, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her husband, Edward Fisher, died in 1969. Survivors include her daughter - Cathy (Gary) Bober of New Castle; brother - Robert (Frances) Shepler of Connersville; sisters - Judy Wood of Glenwood, Indiana, Peg Atwell of Indianapolis, Pat (Don) Isaac of Liberty, Connie (Bob) Barrett of Richmond; grandchildren - Rebecca (Tim) Hinton of New Castle, Matthew (girlfriend Linh Cao) Bober of Los Angeles, California; great grandsons - Logan Hinton and Ethan Hinton; nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, two brothers, Tom Davis and Gerald Shepler, are also deceased. Services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday (June 19, 2010) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Clark Hobby will officiate. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday (June 18, 2010) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. www.riggle-waltermann.com
