Iris G. Rife, age 82, of Richmond passed away Sunday (April 23, 2017) at Reid Hospital. She was born in New Paris, Ohio on January 9, 1935 to Lance and Bertha Hoover Newman. Iris enjoyed every aspect of Mother Nature, she loved being outdoors and later in life she would enjoy looking at pictures of anything outdoors. She enjoyed listening to classical music, drawing, taking pictures and sewing and had worked at Honan Camera Shop and as a seamstress for many years. She will be missed greatly by her family.
Survivors include siblings Faye Mitchell and Sam Newman; husband M. Strayeagle Camden; children Pam Rife, Paula Creech, Sherry Alsip, Sandy Henderson and Julie Kidder; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Lance and Bertha; husband Russell Rife and children Bev Minniear and John Stegall.
A memorial service will be held for Iris at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday (May 2, 2017) at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Paul Mingus will officiate. Burial will follow in Goshen Cemetery. www.rigglewaltermann.com
