Izola "Cookie" Leavell, age 60, formerly of Richmond, died Monday (October 4, 2004) in Aurora, Colorado. She was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on February 15, 1944 to Joe Willie and Hazel Johnson Griffin and had lived in Richmond until leaving 22 years ago. In Richmond she had worked for IRC&D Motor Freight and for Lipscomb Enterprises. She had also worked for California Curl and most recently for Information Handling Services in Denver. She was a member of the International Association of Accountants.
