James "Jim" Breckenridge, age 86, passed away Wednesday (February 5, 2014) in Canton, Ohio. He was born in Indianapolis Indiana on January 24, 1928 to Fred and Amy Breckenridge. Fred was a carpenter and Amy was a homemaker. Jim had his masters in business administration and worked as a certified public accountant. Jim was a corporal in the US Army and volunteered as a bookkeeper at First Friends church. Jim was very involved in the fundraising for the Ys men's and was particularly proud of his 50 years in the Kiwanis. Survivors include his 3 sons, Tom of Canton, Ohio, Dan (Tina) Breckenridge of Peachtree City, Georgia, and John (Nelly) of Valparaiso, Indiana; a brother Fred Breckenridge of West Lafayette, Indiana; Grandchildren Aaron, Alex, Stephen, Ellie, Sara Sophia; Great grandchildren Bryden & Kayden. Graveside services for Jim will be held on Saturday (February 8, 2014) at 12:30 P.M. in Elkhorn cemetery. Pastor Derrick Parker will officiate. Friends may call on Saturday from 10 A.M. until noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Jim's name to Crossroad Hospice (3743 Boettler Oaks Dr. Suite E Uniontown, OH 44685)
