James Edward Brockman, age 61, of New Paris, Ohio, passed away on Sunday (March 15, 2015) at his residence. He was born in Richmond on March 23, 1953 to Charles & Edith Blanche (Napier) Brockman and had lived in this area all of his life. James was a general contractor for Sullivan Construction and a Corvette enthusiast. Survivors include his sons Terence Tyler Brockman and James E. "Jamie" Brockman; Siblings Brenda Brown of Florida, Charles David (Darla) Brockman, Catherine Ann (Jesse) Lear, and Joyce Irene Bach; grandchild Tucker Maxwell Brockman; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Services for James will be held on Monday (March 23, 2015) at 7 p.m. in Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Ken Harris will officiate. Burial will take place in Spring Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call on Monday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Those wishing to make a donation in James' name may do so by donating to the James Brockman Fund in care of the funeral home.
