Obituary

James "Jim" Bryant, age 79 passed away Wednesday April 23, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Richmond, Indiana on November 19, 1945 to Wilson and Charlene Eichenberger Bryant. Jim graduated from Richmond High School in 1964 and attended Purdue University. He was a successful farmer for many years before starting his own businesses, Bryant Trucking and Bryant Welding & Fabrication. He spent years donating his time to the Centerville Youth League and the Wayne County Fair.
He enjoyed baseball, any sport really, tinkering around on anything he could find that needed fixed, playing cards and socializing with friends. For years, he could always be found at the coffee shop chatting in the early morning hours with his friends.
After his retirement, he spent his remaining years living at Lake Santee, Greensburg, IN where he made many new beloved friends and enjoyed his peaceful home and the community there.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Gayle Graves Bryant; children Chuck Bryant (Jane) and Jami Bryant; grandchildren Allison Bryant (Justin Sittloh), Justin Bryant and Tyler Longfellow; great grandchild Jase Sittloh; and numerous friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Wilson and Charlene Bryant and daughter Lisa Bryant.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4pm-8pm on Thursday May 1, 2025, at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary.
