James Henry, also known as Jimmy, Big Jim, Big Jimmy D, Jim DeLucio Jr., age 59 of Richmond, Indiana passed away on October 1, 2025. He was born in Richmond, Indiana to James and Etta DeLucio. He was a lifelong resident of Richmond and spent several years of his life working construction. He loved to talk with his kids and grandkids about the bridges he helped build.
Anybody who knew Jim knew he loved to crack a joke, shoot pool, play cards and watch his grandbabies ball games. While Jim acted like a tough guy, he had a big heart and loved his family dearly, especially his kids and grandbabies, as he would say. Jim was proud of the family he created and would brag on their successes any chance he could get. Jimmy loved to listen to rock and roll and to tell stories about his life adventures.
Jimmy would light up a room with his jokes and banter and was always there when you needed him. He leaves behind memories, endless love and a legacy of speaking your mind and as he would say, "go give em hell!" While he is no longer physically here with us, we will remember him as Santa at Christmas time, laughing in the garden with a tomato and salt shaker in hand, telling an inappropriate joke, and singing along to the Steve Miller Band. These moments will continue to comfort us in the times we miss him most.
He is survived by his daughters Shara Chesnut, Jess (John) Przybysz, Kristin (Jeff) Burnett and his son James "Lil Jim" DeLucio III, his grandchildren Alyssa Gipson, Roger Gipson III, Naelyn Przybysz, Cash Goble, Karren Owens, Arlo Przybysz and Sammy Przybysz, his father James DeLucio, his sister Kristy DeLucio, brothers Rodney (Brittany) DeLucio, Kevin DeLucio and Tony (Dea) Messler, and several other family members.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Etta G. DeLucio, his other mother Marjorie "Carol" DeLucio, his sisters, Tammy DeLucio and Robin Baker, his grandparents, Angelo (Frances) DeLucio, Carl (Catherine) Smith and nephew Rodney DeLucio Jr.
