James M. Dunn, age 85, of Richmond, Indiana died on Wednesday (September 12, 2018) at his home. He was born on June 6, 1933 in Richmond, Indiana to Denton and Mattie Nelson Dunn. James married the love of his life, Sharon Cobb, to whom he would have been married for 50 years on November 9, 2018. He was known for being a prankster and was very giving. James was an avid collector of beer steins and model boats. He enjoyed singing in a quartet and spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids which he dearly loved. James was an U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include wife Sharon Cobb Dunn; children Rebecca Henry of Richmond, Indiana, Joann (Ron) Coffey of Richmond, Indiana, James "Jimbo" (Stacey) Dunn II of Cleveland, Tennessee, Crystal (Todd) Darrah of Greenfield, Indiana, and Judith (James) Hobgood of Houston, Texas; grandchildren Larry (Ashley) Henry, Ronnie (Amy) Coffey, Megan Coffey, Jordan (Alexis) Darrah, Austin Darrah, Brandon Darrah, Matthew Henry, Akoye Haley, Simon Dunn, Garrett Haley, David Dunn, Jadin Hobgood, Jazzlynn Hobgood, Jewelia Hobgood; sister Juanita Milligan; brother Ricky Dunn and 8 great grandkids. He is preceded in death by mother Mattie Nelson Dunn; father Denton Dunn; sisters Elizabeth Lispcomb and Barbara Shelly; brothers Marshall, Robert and Kenneth Dunn; great grand-child Sophia Marie Coffey.
Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday (September 19, 2018) at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Ron Coffey will officiate. Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday (September 19, 2018) at the funeral home.
