James O. Harrison, Sr., age 90, died Friday morning (March 26, 2021) at Reid Health. He was born on December 16, 1930 in Castine, Ohio to Harry and Mabel Strickler Harrison and had lived in this area most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and had been employed by the National Cash Register Company and by Richmond State Hospital. He loved flowers and gardening and really enjoyed being outside.
Survivors include his children James Harrison, Jr., Gina Cole, Michael Harrison, Larry Harrison, Linette Dillevig, 22 grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His wife of 58 years, Helen A. Harrison, died on December 11, 2009
Services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Monday (March 29, 2021) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Paul Mingus will officiate. Entombment will be at a later date in Earlham Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday (March 29, 2021) at the funeral home.
