James Edward Jelly, age 78, of Richmond, died Saturday (November 24, 2007) at Forest Park Health Campus. He was born in Richmond on January 23, 1929 to Edward and Edna Lake Jelly and had lived here all of his life. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was retired from the greenhouse construction business. Jim loved to garden Survivors include his wife of 54 years �" Johanna Jelly; his daughter �" Debra Gropp; grandson �" Jason, granddaughter �" Stephanie, great grandson Ethan and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Robert, Roland and Eldwyn Jelly, one niece and one nephew. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday (November 27, 2007) in Riggle �" Waltermann Mortuary. Father Todd Riebe will officiate. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Centerville. Friends may call on Tuesday (November 27, 2007) from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
