Obituary

James E. Morgan, age 78 of Richmond passed away peacefully on Thursday June 7, 2018. He was born in Richmond, IN on March 26, 1940 to Robert and Garnet Wehrley Morgan. He married Nancy Vallier on April 5, 1958 in Tomahawk, WI. They shared 48 years of marriage until her passing in 2006. He served honorably in the U.S. Army and was a retired 31 year employee of Alcoa. Jim was a kind man who didn't know a stranger, he loved to tell jokes, and was the life of the party. He enjoyed traveling and had been on 35 cruises during his life time. He loved his daughters dearly and will be greatly missed by many friends and family.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Kim (Dane) Schmidt, Kelly (Daryl) Parker, Debra Morgan and Rebecca (Brian) Gray; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his companion Janice Hebenstreit. In addition to his parents he is also predeceased by his siblings Marjorie L. Lewis, Robert A. Morgan, Tommy J. Morgan and great great grandson Daxon.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday June 16, 2018 in the Earlham Mausoleum. Pastor Ron Karkosky will officiate. Friends may call on Saturday June 16, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at the Mausoleum. Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
