James Robert Ross, age 68, of Richmond passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday (June 28, 2016). James was born in Richmond on May 20, 1948 to Loyal and Ruth "Jackson" Ross. He married Wanda Jackson on November 13, 1970. James served his country for 21 years in the Army, after his retirement he owned and operated All American Electrical for several years. He helped manage the Druids Lodge, was a member of the Murat Shrine, Tarum Shrine and Moose Lodge and he was also a Scottish Rite 32nd degree Mason. James enjoyed playing bingo, going fishing and playing slots.
Survivors include his wife Wanda; children Ron (Shelli) Ross and Chris Ross; grandchildren Austin Ross, Amanda Ross and Rob Ludwig; siblings Lloyd (Susan) Ross, Jerry (Joan) Ross, Rebecca (John) Mendenhall, Rosella (Kenny) Fields, Randy (Susan) Ross, Sue (John) Craig; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents James is also preceded in death by his grandson Jacob Ross; nephew Jason Ross and Sister in law Judith Ross.
Services for James will be at 12:00 P.M. on Friday (July 1, 2016) at Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will follow in Spring lawn Cemetery in New Paris, OH. Jerry Ross Jr. will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday (June 30, 2016) from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
