James Nelson Russell, age 73, passed away on Tuesday November 16, 2021. He was born in Richmond, Indiana on December 30, 1947, to Floyd N. and Ruth E. Sherman Russell. James graduated from Richmond High School in 1967. He worked in Richmond, Indiana at Richmond Gear Works for several years until he relocated with the company to South Carolina where he spent 30 plus years before retiring back to Richmond, Indiana.

Survivors include his sisters Mary Ann Price of Eaton, Ohio and Jean Goins of Greenwood, Indiana; nephews Mark (Kiellee) Goins of Maineville, Ohio, Marc Price of Eaton, Ohio; niece Kristen (Paul) Stettler of Trafalgar, Indiana; great-nephew Brayden Goins; great-nieces Emma Goins, Ellyana Goins and June Elizabeth Stettler; special aunt Gladys Krug and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, father and brother-in-law Leland Price.

Services for James will be held on Monday November 22, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Deacon James Miller will officiate. Entombment will immediately follow in Earlham Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. on Monday November 22, 2021, at the funeral home.
