James A. "Spider" Weiss, age 66, of Eaton, Ohio, died Friday (February 17, 2012) at his residence. He was born in Richmond on October 13, 1945 to Allen Leo and Mary Rose Todd Weiss and had lived in the Richmond area most of his life before moving to Eaton a few years ago. He was a 1964 graduate of Richmond High School. He was an electrician and a member of IBEW Local 855 in Muncie. Jim loved to travel and enjoyed playing cards and visiting the casinos. His wife, Sheryl L. "Sherry" Weiss, died September 13, 2010. Survivors include his sons ��" Marc (Laura) Weiss of Hagerstown, Derek (Dawn) Weiss of Centerville; daughter - Amanda (Adam) Hawes of Monroe, Michigan; brother - Allen (Connie) Weiss of Richmond; step-children ��" Kelley Scott and Darren Philpot; 7 grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a great nephew. Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday (February 22, 2012) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Paul Mingus will officiate. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery.
