Obituary

Janice Ann York, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday May 28, 2024.

Ann, as she preferred to be called, was born in Monticello, Kentucky on April 28, 1950 to Joseph and Tena Weston and was the oldest of 7 children. At the age of 20, she married the love of her life, Tommy, and together they shared 42 years of marriage and 3 children. Ann dedicated her life to her family. She was a supportive military wife, a homemaker, a volunteer at her children's schools and she enjoyed cooking and baking.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband Thomas E. York Sr., grandson Brandon Clegg and 4 brothers Joseph Weston, Jasper Weston, Buddy Weston and Norman Weston.
She is survived by her 3 children Thomas E. York Jr., Mary (Kelly) Conner and Tena (Bob) Harney; 5 grandchildren Ashley Williams, Brooklyn York, Alex Davis, Justin Davis and Thomas York III; along with 2 sisters Mary Gurley and Virginia Weilenman and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made directly to Ann's funeral fund to assist with expenses.

Pastor Matthew Holloway will officiate services at 12:30 pm on Saturday June 1, 2024 at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will immediately follow in Earlham Cemetery Veterans Field of Honor alongside her husband Thomas. Visitation will be held on Saturday June 1, 2024 from 11am to 12:30pm at the funeral home.
