Jasper Lee Jent Sr, age 70, passed away Thursday (September 5, 2013) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Hazard, Kentucky on August 2, 1943 to Noah and Rellia Jent and had lived in this area since 1992. He was a managerial custodian at Grant County security complex. Jasper was a loving father who truly cared for his grandchildren, and always kept it on the navigational line. Survivors include his wife Cherry; sons Jasper (Jennifer) Jent Jr, Brian Jent; daughters Stephania (Troy) Aidt, Kimberly Miller, Michele (Leonard) Dailey; brothers Paul (Pam) Jent, Alger(Wilma) Jent, Randy Jo (Rebecca) Jent, Hiram (Barbara) Jent; sisters Edith (Bill) Allmond, Olzia Williams, Patricia (Randy) Cullers; grandson Brandon; granddaughter Savanna & Sherry; step grandson Johnny; step granddaughter Meagan. In addition to his parents, Jasper is preceded in death by brothers Harrison, Lloyd, Willie, & Charles Jent, and sister Irene Jent. Graveside services for Jasper will be held on Saturday (September 7) at 1:00 p.m. at Chester Cemetery. Chaplain John Hudnall will officiate.
