Jean E. Clark�
Jean Eloise Clark, age 93, of Richmond, died Friday evening (November 2, 2007) at Arbor Trace.� She was born in Rushville, Indiana on April 28, 1914 to Josephus and Carrie Lambert Clark and had lived in Richmond since 1933.� She was a graduate of Rushville High School and attended Earlham College for 2 years.� She worked for Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation for 26 years retiring in 1976.� She was a writer for the Graphic for 30 years and also contributed to Senior Life magazine for several years.� Jean was active in serving the community through Meals on Wheels, Community Food Pantry and the former Scott Boys Club.� She was a 50 year member of the Richmond Art Association where she exhibited her work in numerous art shows.� She also worked for 40 years with Richmond Civic Theatre productions and she received numerous awards and recognitions for her work with both organizations.� Jean was a 70 year member of First Christian Church and of the church choir.�
Survivors include her adopted family - Barbara White, Alesia Barnhizer, Mark Barnhizer, Todd Barnhizer, Eric Barnhizer, Julie Saunders and their families�
In addition to her parents, a brother, Richard Clark, is also deceased.�
A public memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Sunday November 18, 2007 in First Christian Church (100 South 10th Street).� Rev. Amanda Hines will officiate.� There will be no public calling.� Private burial services will be in East Hill Cemetery in Rushville.� Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 100 South 10th St. Richmond, IN 47374 or to the Richmond Art Association, % 350 Hub Etchison Parkway, Richmond, IN 47374.
