It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffery Alan Ellington, age 51, who died peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his loving family at Reid Hospital. He was born in Richmond, Indiana on June 21, 1974, to Darl and Cheryl Ellington and had lived in the area for most of his life.
Jeff was a man who truly enjoyed life. He loved shooting pool with friends and was a die-hard Indianapolis Colts fan. He dedicated many years to his work as a certified hydraulic lift technician, where his skills and expertise were highly respected by his peers.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents Darl and Cheryl Ellington; sister Kim Blanton Ellington; brother Cory Ellington; nephews Wyatt Blanton and Shea Ellington; nieces Hunter Ellington, Kora Butler and Ridley Ellington.

A public visitation will be held on Saturday March 21, 2026 from 1pm-4pm at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. A private service will be held at a later date.

Jeff's family would like to send a special "Thank You" to Melanie Butler for all her support and love, also they would like to send a "Thank You" to the doctors and nurses in the ICU unit at Reid Hospital for their compassion and care during Jeff's time there. The family would like to let Jeffery's niece, Hunter, know how grateful they are for everything that she did to help during this difficult time.
