Jerome F. Nicholson, age 74, of Richmond, died Wednesday afternoon (September 9, 2009) at his residence. He was born in Hagerstown on January 10, 1935 to Delbert and Hildruth Seffrin Nicholson and had lived in this area all of his life. He was a graduate of Hagerstown High School and was a US Army veteran. Jerome was a retired electrical engineer having last worked for Frigidaire in Connersville. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church Survivors include his wife of 46 years - Peggy Nicholson; daughters - Carla (Alvin) White of Indianapolis, Karen Nicholson of Miamisburg, Ohio, Julia Nicholson of Miamisburg, Ohio; sons - Steven Nicholson of Greenville, Ohio, David (Lisa) Nicholson of Fishers, Indiana; sisters - Althela Swim of Cambridge City, Maryann Greer of Middletown, Indiana, Joan (Gerald) Gentry of Lafayette, Indiana; brother - Joseph (Donna) Nicholson of Tyler, Texas; 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, nieces and nephews. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday (September 12, 2009) in Holy Family Church. Father John Luerman will officiate. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday (September 11, 2009) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.
