Jerry Lee Gilbert, age 38, lost his life in a car accident on Tuesday evening (October 18, 2011). He was born in Richmond, Indiana and spent his childhood in Kentucky before moving back to Indiana as a teenager. He was employed by Smith Dairy for many years and was a beloved son, brother and uncle. He was a friend to many and although he had no children of his own, he was the best uncle and much loved by all children. He leaves behind his parents, sister, nephews, nieces and many friends. Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday (October 22, 2011) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Paul Mingus will officiate. Burial will be in Elkhorn Cemetery.
