Jesse J. Massey, age 59 of Centerville went to be with the Lord on Tuesday September 25, 2018. He was born in Richmond on March 31, 1959 to Melvin and Margaret Altman Massey. He was a graduate of Richmond High School and Ivy Tech in Muncie where he attained his Electrician Certification. He was previously employed at Wayne Works and Hill Electric. Jesse was a Miami Dolphins and Michigan Wolverine's fan. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and camping.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Sherrill Massey; sons Jeremy (Andrea) Blake and Travis Blake; step-daughter Charish (Dustin) Tice; 11 grandkids with one more on the way; sisters Linda Day and Eleanor Jean (Fletcher) Brockman; many nieces and nephews including three #1 nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Margaret; son James Massey; brothers Frank and Harvey Massey; sister Carol (Marvin) Shaffer; brother-in-law Charlie Day and Special Aunt Ida (Art) Horr.
Services for Jesse will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday September 29, 2018 at Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will follow in Chester Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Saturday September 29, 2018 at the funeral home.
