Jimmie Lee James, age 64 of Richmond passed away Wednesday (November 16, 2016). He was born in Evansville, Indiana on October 1, 1952 to George and Versa Bryant James. Jimmie married the love of his life Robin Aughe on November 25, 1983 in Richmond. Jimmie worked as a paramedic for Aid Ambulance for over 15 years, he participated in several plays at Richmond Civic Theater and was a big Star Trek fan. Jimmie had an unusual sense of humor, he told a lot of "dad jokes" as his kids would say, he enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting activities, reading and watching TV.
Jimmie is survived by his wife Robin; children TJ Brown, Nicholas Brown, Stephanie (Jesse) Kamps and Katie (Merrill) Butts; brothers George (Lola) James and Randy (Denise) James; 15 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Gene James and infant sister.
Services for Jimmie will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday (November 21, 2016) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Dylan Shope will officiate. Friends may call on Monday (November 21, 2016) from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
