John A. "Tony" Rothert went home to be with the Lord on Saturday August 9, 2008 after complications from surgery. He was born on December 12, 1956 in Richmond to Juanita and Marvin Rothert. He was a 1975 graduate of Richmond High School and a member of Saint Andrew Church. He had served as president of the Wayne County Bowling Association and had worked with the Youth League at Do-Re-Mi Bowling Lanes. He was employed by Commons Lumber since 2001. Tony enjoyed bowling, working with his hands, going to races, cooking, grilling and making others laugh He was preceded in death by his parents, Juanita and Marvin Rothert.Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years - Terri Rothert; son - Michael (Amanda Hollingsworth) daughters - Julie (Marques"Gio" Deloney) and Amber; aunt - Vi (Larry) Wamsley of Indianapolis; uncle - Ted (Pauline) Stoehr of Connersville; brother-in-law - Skip (Rhonda) Grimes; sisters-in-law - Kathy (John) Dudas, Margie Grimes, Debbie Nelson; nieces and nephews - Jessica, Clark and Avah Creech, Gabriel Dudas, John Dudas (Cera Peffley), Shelly and Kayla Grimes, Jami and Mark Johnson, Craig, Elizabeth and Stephen Nelson; cousins, many friends and his special dog "Autumn".A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Thursday (August 14, 2008) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Andrew Church Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday (August 13, 2008) from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
