John Stephen Torges, age 80, of Richmond, passed away on Sunday September 3, 2023. He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on May 10, 1943 to George and Marie (Demetrakis) Torges. John was a United States Army Veteran, serving 8 years. He earned his Associate of Applied Science degree from Ohio State University School of Engineering and was the owner of a dental laboratory. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are life partner, Elaine Mason of Richmond, Indiana; Harold Perry, brother-in-law, of Wooster, Ohio; Mary Torges sister-in-law of Ostrander, Ohio; Maria Pappas, niece, (husband Peter Kamberos) of Chicago, IL and John Pappas, nephew, (wife Laura); Peter Terezakis, nephew, (wife Allyson Green) of Manhattan, NY; George Terezakis, nephew, (wife Cecibel) of Mineola, NY; Terri Terezakis, nephew, (wife Bobbie) of St. Augustine, FL; Diane Terezakis, niece, of Yonkers, NY; Anast Terezakis, nephew, (wife Stacey); George Cozzarin, nephew, (wife Monica), of Crossville, TN; Nick Cozzarin, nephew, (wife Janet) of Brookpark, Ohio; David Perry, nephew, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Anita Klein, niece, (husband Doug) of Fairlawn, Ohio; Rebekah Cotton, niece, (husband Chris) of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; Anna Stuart, niece, (husband Whitney) of Blacklick, Ohio; Cynthia Torges, niece, of Columbus, Ohio; Beth Cooper, niece, (husband Adam) of Columbus, Ohio. In addition, numerous great nieces and nephews, friends and community members. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Marie Torges and siblings Irene, Nick, Ann, Katherine and Dean.

Graveside services will take place in Earlham Cemetery on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. A memorial service will take place at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday, October 8, following the Liturgy Service, which starts at 9:30 a.m.
