Joseph A. McWhorter, age 32 of Richmond passed away Monday (August 24, 2015) at Reid hospital. He was born in Richmond on May 16, 1983 to Scott and Dorothy Newton McWhorter. He graduated from Richmond High School in 2002. Survivors include his mother Dorothy; sisters Teresa and Karen McWhorter; aunts Janet Krause, Brenda Lawson and Lavonda Sands; uncles Charles and Bert McWhorter of Oregon, Roger, Alvin and Melvin Newton; best buddy his dog Freckles; many other friends and family. He is preceded in death by his father Scott McWhorter. Services for Joseph will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday (August 31, 2015) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Cindy Ploughe will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Monday (August 31, 2015) at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joseph's name to Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.
