Joseph F. Noelker Sr., age 80 of Richmond passed away Tuesday July 17, 2018. He was born to Bernard and Mary Griffen Noelker on January 27, 1938. He was blessed with 30 years of marriage to Jessie Brown Noelker. Joe was a hard-working man. He worked for the Richmond Street Department for 28 years. He was also a very patriotic man having served in the Army National Guard. He loved to hand out flags at the Veterans day parade and at Memorial garden cemetery. He was a proud member of the Fountain City Lions club and volunteered for many years selling pork chops during Levi Coffin Days. Joe just enjoyed life and loved to talk, he never knew a stranger.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Jessie Brown Noelker; son Joseph (Joey) Noelker Jr.; daughter Kimberly Thompson; grandchildren Katie Reese, Taylor and Tyler Noelker; Tyanna Collins; great grandchildren; brothers Jim, Jerry and Larry Noelker; sister Mary Pilkington and his cats. Joe is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Sally Hera, Judy Piehe and Mary Noelker.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday July 20, 2018 in Willow Grove Cemetery in Fountain City, IN. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be in Joe's name to any military charity. Joe thanks you very much. Rest in peace Joe, we love you. Your cats will be taken care of.
