Joseph D. Perseponko, age 70, of Richmond, died Friday (May 18, 2018) at Reid Health. He was born in Richmond on December 20, 1947 to Stephen and Pauline Moore Peseponko and had lived here all of his life. He was a 1966 graduate of Richmond High School and a retired 34 year employee of Belden where he worked in the wire mill. After his retirement from Belden, he helped found and operate Perseponko Painting Company. He was a member of Saint Mary Church. Joe was very fond of old cars and was a former member of Vintage Wheels Car Club.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Perseponko; children Michael (Laura) Perseponko, Jan Parker, Anthony (Angela) Perseponko; grandchildren Andria, Karah, Brooke, Miranda, Ella and Eric; brother Steven Perseponko; extended family and many friends. In addition to his parents, a granddaughter and grandson, Destiney and Sydney, preceded him in death.
Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday (May 22, 2018) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Father John Luerman will officiate. Burial will be in Saint Mary Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday (May 22, 2018) from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home
