Lena Strate, age 62, of Richmond, died Friday morning (August 5, 2011) at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born in Richmond on June 11, 1949 to Everett and Jean Strate and had lived here all of her life until going to Arkansas in April of this year. She was a former employee of JM Hutton Company. Survivors include her daughter - Joanna (Tony) Herrington of Elkins, Arkansas; sister - Patty Shaw of Fountain City; brothers - Edward Strate of San Antonio, Texas, George Strate of Richmond, Paul Strate of Richmond; grandsons - Tyler Herrington and Tony Ray Herrington; nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday (August 11, 2011) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Paul Mingus will officiate. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
