Leo S. Weiss, age 85, of Richmond, died Monday (May 14, 2012) at Fayette Regional Health System in Connersville. He was born in Richmond on October 10, 1926 to Leo H. and Geneva Holthouse Weiss and had lived here all of his life. He was a graduate of Morton High School and proudly served in the Merchant Marine during World War II. He was the owner/operator of the former Weiss Furniture and Drapery in Richmond and then of Weiss Fabrics in New Paris. He had also worked in the real estate business. Survivors include children ��" Eric Weiss of Richmond, Lea Crabtree of San Diego, California, Christopher (Denise) Weiss of Richmond and Frederick (Sarah) Weiss of Richmond; sister - Janet Carnes; grandchildren - Danielle Schwegman, Ryan Schwegman, Chelsea Schwegman; step-grandchildren - Jennifer Cuadrade, Amanda (Neil) Ritchie, Brian Moore; step-great grandchildren - Antonia Cuadrade, Jonathon Cuadrade, Xavier Rausch, Kayla Rausch, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, four sisters, Juanita Prusiecki, Colette Welch, Mariellen Hunt and Virginia Kessler are also deceased. Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Friday (May 18, 2012) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Father Todd Riebe will officiate. Friends may call on Friday (May 18, 2012) from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Saint Andrew Cemetery.
